Ex-US Goalkeeper Suffers Serious Neck Injury in Italian Clash

Jonathan Klinsmann, the former US youth international goalkeeper, is recovering after sustaining a broken neck in a collision during a match for his Italian club Cesena. The 29-year-old was stretchered off the field and taken to a hospital in Palermo after the incident on Saturday.
Klinsmann, whose father Jürgen Klinsmann previously served as the head coach of the US national team, was playing for Cesena in Italy's second division when the injury occurred. He was rushed to the hospital after the collision with a Palermo player, and further tests with a specialist will be conducted to assess the extent of the injury.
