Afghan Cricketer Shapoor Zadran Battles Rare, Life-Threatening Illness

Former Afghanistan national team cricketer Shapoor Zadran is fighting for his life as he undergoes treatment for a rare immune disorder called HLH in India.
Shapoor Zadran, a former fast bowler for the Afghanistan national cricket team, is currently battling a rare and life-threatening immune system disorder known as Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). Zadran, who represented Afghanistan in 38 ODIs and 32 T20Is, is receiving treatment at a hospital in India as he fights for his life against this rare and aggressive condition.
HLH is a severe immune system disorder that causes the body to attack its own healthy tissues and organs. It can lead to organ failure, and if left untreated, it can be fatal. Zadran's family has been seeking support and assistance from the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) and the International Cricket Council (ICC) to help cover the substantial medical expenses associated with his treatment.
Zadran, who made his international debut for Afghanistan in 2010, was a key member of the team's bowling attack for several years. He played a crucial role in helping Afghanistan establish itself as a competitive force in international cricket, particularly in the T20 format. Zadran's ability to consistently bowl at high speeds and his skill in delivering yorkers made him a valuable asset for the team.
The news of Zadran's battle with HLH has been met with an outpouring of support and concern from the cricketing community and fans around the world. Many former and current cricketers, as well as cricket governing bodies, have expressed their well-wishes and urged the public to contribute to Zadran's medical treatment.
Hamid Shinwari, the CEO of the ACB, has stated that the board is working closely with Zadran's family to ensure that he receives the best possible medical care. Shinwari has also appealed to the ICC and other cricketing nations to provide financial assistance to help cover the substantial costs of Zadran's treatment.
The cricket world is rallying behind Shapoor Zadran as he fights this rare and life-threatening illness. Fans and cricketers alike are hoping that with the right medical care and support, Zadran will be able to overcome this challenge and eventually make a full recovery, allowing him to once again represent his beloved Afghanistan on the cricket field.
