Veteran Coach Carlos Queiroz to Lead Ghana at World Cup

Portugal's Carlos Queiroz named new Ghana head coach, tasked with guiding the Black Stars to success at the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Carlos Queiroz, the experienced Portuguese coach, has been appointed as the new head coach of the Ghanaian national team, the Black Stars. The announcement comes just months before the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where Ghana will be making their fourth appearance on the global stage.
Queiroz, who has a wealth of experience managing national teams, replaces Otto Addo, who was dismissed following Ghana's disappointing performance in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. The Black Stars were eliminated in the group stage of the tournament, leading to Addo's dismissal and the search for a new coach to lead the team to the World Cup.
