Trauma Unites Israeli and Palestinian in Peace Movement

After losing loved ones, an Israeli and a Palestinian have come together to document their journey of peace activism in the Middle East in their new book, 'The Future Is Peace: A Shared Journey Across the Holy Land'.
In the midst of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, an unlikely partnership has emerged between an Israeli and a Palestinian, who have found common ground in the shared trauma of losing loved ones. Aziz Abu Sarah, a Palestinian, and Maoz Inon, an Israeli, have come together to document their journey of peace activism in their new book, The Future Is Peace: A Shared Journey Across the Holy Land.
Abu Sarah's brother died from injuries inflicted while in Israeli custody, while Inon's parents were killed by Hamas-led militants on October 7, 2023. Despite the pain and loss they have endured, these two men have chosen to channel their grief into a movement for peace, determined to break the cycle of violence that has plagued the region for decades.
