Survivor's Life Jacket from Titanic Sells for $900,000 at Auction

Titanic history buffs and collectors had the opportunity to own a piece of one of the most infamous maritime disasters of the 20th century, as a life jacket worn by a passenger on the ill-fated RMS Titanic sold at auction for an astounding 670,000 pounds - over $900,000.

The life jacket, which was discovered among the wreckage of the Titanic in the 1990s, was purchased by an anonymous buyer, highlighting the enduring fascination with the legendary ocean liner that struck an iceberg and sank on its maiden voyage in 1912, resulting in the deaths of more than 1,500 people.
