Pipe Bomb Planter Faces Serious New Charges Before January 6th

The suspect accused of planting pipe bombs near the RNC and DNC headquarters on the eve of the January 6th attack now faces additional felony counts for weapons of mass destruction and terrorism.
Brian Cole Jr., a 30-year-old from Woodbridge, Virginia, has been hit with two new felony charges for his alleged role in placing explosive devices near the Republican and Democratic national committee headquarters in Washington, D.C. on the night before the infamous January 6th Capitol attack.
According to a newly released federal indictment, Cole is now facing counts of attempting to use weapons of mass destruction and carrying out an act of terrorism while armed. He had previously been arrested in December and charged with transporting and positioning the two improvised explosive devices outside the DNC and RNC buildings.
