OpenAI, the pioneering artificial intelligence research company, is facing another round of C-suite changes as the CEO of its AGI deployment division, Fidji Simo, takes a leave of absence due to a neuroimmune condition. According to an internal memo obtained by The Verge, Simo will be stepping away for the next several weeks to focus on her health.
During Simo's absence, OpenAI president Greg Brockman will be in charge of product, including leading the company's efforts to develop a super app. On the business side, CSO Jason Kwon, CFO Sarah Friar, and CRO Denise Dresser will take on additional responsibilities.
