Myanmar's military leader Min Aung Hlaing has been sworn in as the country's new president, vowing to 'enhance' international ties following the turbulent coup that plunged the nation into chaos.
The former army chief, who led the February 2021 coup that ousted the democratically elected government, took the oath of office on Sunday, state media reported. He dissolved the previous government and appointed himself as the new state administration council chairman.
