In the wake of the announcement of a temporary ceasefire between the United States and Iran, countries across the Middle East have voiced cautious optimism and a call for further negotiations to achieve a lasting end to the ongoing conflict.
The United Arab Emirates, a close US ally in the region, welcomed the news, with the country's foreign ministry stating that the ceasefire represents "an important step towards de-escalation." The ministry urged "all parties to exercise maximum restraint and engage in direct dialogue to reach a comprehensive political solution."
