Michael Bradley's Red Bulls Impress in MLS - What's Next?

The USMNT standout and son of Bob Bradley is making waves as the new head coach of the Red Bulls. Explore the team's youth academy and Bradley's coaching journey.
Michael Bradley, the longtime United States Men's National Team (USMNT) standout, is making waves as the new head coach of the Red Bull New York (RBNY) soccer club. Following in the footsteps of his father, Bob Bradley, the younger Bradley has brought a deep appreciation for what makes American soccer special to his coaching role.
The timing of Bradley's ascension to the RBNY head coach position could not have been more ideal. Just a day after the team's 2026 MLS home opener victory, with three academy products becoming the youngest trio to combine for a goal in league history, the club hosted its annual youth summit. Coaches and administrators convened in the Audi Club Lounge of Sports Illustrated Stadium, where they were fed, presented to, and encouraged to learn, network, and wait for the arrival of their new head coach.
Connecting with the Next Generation
When Michael Bradley finally arrived, a long line quickly formed between him and the exit, and he obliged all of the people waiting for a photo. This patience and connection with the community is a hallmark of Bradley's coaching style, mirroring the approach he learned from his father, Bob, under whom he served as a son, a player, and an assistant before striking out on his own.
