The recent killing of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, better known as El Mencho, the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), has been hailed as a significant victory for the Mexican government in its ongoing war against drug trafficking organizations. However, while this high-profile takedown may seem like a decisive blow, the reality is that numerous other cartel leaders remain at large, continuing to wreak havoc across the country.
One of the most elusive figures in the Mexican drug underworld is Rubén Oseguera González, also known as El Menchito, the son of El Mencho. Despite being arrested and extradited to the United States, El Menchito managed to escape custody and has since been on the run, evading the authorities.
