Rapper Kanye West faces $140,000 penalty after a handyman wins lawsuit over unpaid work, medical expenses, and unfair termination related to a Malibu mansion renovation project.
Kanye West, the renowned rapper and fashion mogul, has been ordered to pay a handyman $140,000 in a lawsuit over a Malibu mansion renovation project. The handyman had initially sought $1.7 million (£1.267 million) from West, claiming unpaid work, medical expenses, and unfair dismissal.
The dispute stemmed from a renovation project at West's Malibu home, where the handyman was employed to carry out various tasks. According to the lawsuit, the handyman claimed that he was not fully compensated for his work and that he incurred medical expenses due to injuries sustained on the job. Additionally, the handyman alleged that he was terminated from the project in an unfair manner.
