A director of a fire alarm company in Burton has been banned from running businesses after failing to pay over £300,000 in taxes across two companies, engaging in abusive 'phoenixism' behavior.
The director used two separate companies to repeatedly evade debts, a practice known as 'phoenixism' where a director starts a new company to continue the business of a previous company that has been liquidated to avoid paying its debts.
