Fashion Icon Stefano Gabbana Resigns as Dolce & Gabbana Chair

Co-founder of luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana steps down as chair, sparking speculation about his 40% stake in the company.
Stefano Gabbana, the co-founder of the iconic fashion label Dolce & Gabbana, has resigned from his position as chair of the company, effective January 1st of this year. The move is part of a larger organizational and governance restructuring at the Italian luxury house, according to an official statement.
Gabbana and his then-partner, Domenico Dolce, founded the fashion empire in 1985, building it into one of the most recognizable luxury brands in the world. The resignation comes as Gabbana is said to be considering his options for his 40% stake in the company, ahead of upcoming negotiations with the brand's bank lenders.
