Europe is facing a critical shortage of jet fuel, with the head of the International Energy Agency warning that the continent has only about six weeks of supply left. In a wide-ranging interview with The Associated Press, Fatih Birol expressed serious concerns about the potential for widespread flight cancellations if the jet fuel crisis is not addressed.
Birol cited the ongoing Iran war and other global disruptions to oil supplies as the primary drivers of the looming shortage.
