Crypto Exchange Binance Uncovers $1.7B Sent to Iranian Entities

Leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance has uncovered a concerning issue within its platform, where over $1.7 billion in crypto was found to have been sent to entities in Iran. This discovery came to light through an internal investigation conducted by the company's security team.
According to the findings, more than 1,500 accounts on the Binance platform were accessed by individuals located in Iran over the past year. These unauthorized accounts were able to facilitate the transfer of substantial amounts of digital assets, totaling an estimated $1.7 billion.
