Broadcom's VMware Takeover Sparks Mass Migrations, Rival Claims Thousands of Defectors

Amid customer dissatisfaction over Broadcom's acquisition of VMware, rival Nutanix says it has swiped tens of thousands of VMware customers in recent migrations.
Broadcom's recent acquisition of VMware has caused significant customer backlash, and rival companies are capitalizing on the discontent. Nutanix, one of VMware's biggest competitors, claims to have poached around 30,000 customers from the leading virtualization firm.
Speaking at a press briefing during Nutanix's .NEXT conference in Chicago, Nutanix CEO Rajiv Ramaswami revealed that the company has seen a massive influx of former VMware customers migrating to its platform. Ramaswami attributed this trend to widespread customer disapproval over Broadcom's strategic direction for VMware.
