Artemis II Crew Begins Historic Moon Voyage in Landmark Mission

NASA's Artemis II mission has taken a major step forward as astronauts leave Earth's orbit and rocket towards the moon, marking the first crewed lunar flight in over 50 years.
In a historic milestone, the astronauts of NASA's Artemis II mission have successfully departed Earth's orbit and are now hurtling towards the moon in a landmark achievement. This mission marks the first time humans will fly around the lunar surface since the Apollo program ended over half a century ago.
The Artemis II crew, which includes four highly trained astronauts, executed a critical thruster firing maneuver that sent their spacecraft on a trajectory towards the moon. This complex series of orbital adjustments was executed with precision, putting the crew on course for their upcoming lunar flyby.
